20x High Grade "G Series" LensThis sophisticated lens incorporates Sony's unique optical design concept and quality control. The 29.5mm wide-angle "G Lens" is designed for a range of shooting situations, ranging from broad landscape shots to conditions where sufficient distance from the subject is difficult to obtain. This high grade lens has a wider angle zoom, higher optical zoom and better low-light performance than other lenses, enabling footage to be captured with 30 times the impact.
3 CMOS Technology with Exmor Derived TechnologyA new version of Sony's unique "ClearVid CMOS Sensor". This technology has the ability to capture more colour information by dividing light entering the lens into single colour elements. This new technology makes it possible to reproduce richer colours and better image quality. The three imagers system greatly improves both pixel count and sensitivity creating more colourful and brilliant videos.
In addition, on-chip signal conversion technology pioneered in the Exmor CMOS Image Sensor (utilised in Digital SLR's) reduces noise and enhances fine detail even further.
Progressive Recording (1080P)Progressive recording means more film like images can be enjoyed when shooting 1080/25p using signals captured by the "3 ClearVid CMOS Sensor". Used in addition to Cinematone Gamma colour filtering, realistic film like images are now more achievable than ever.
