These batteries are constructed of Nickel Metal-Hydride and Lithium-Ion cells made in Japan by the worlds largest manufacturers of battery cells. The batteries are designed to be charged up to 1000 times provided they are charged to manufacturers specifications. The charging of these batteries is done, either in the camera, or in a charger provided by the camera manufacturer.
