4 x Optical Zoom The DMC-FS7 packages a 33mm 4x optical zoom Leica DC VARIO-ELMARIT lens with f2.8 brightness into a slim, compact body. Comprising six elements in five groups, including three aspherical lenses, this advanced lens unit realizes the outstandingly slim and compact body yet passing Leica's stringent standards to deliver an exceptional optical performance. Further, in 3-megapixel resolution mode, the Extra Optical Zoom function provides additional magnification, extending the zoom power to 7.1x Leica DC Lens The Leica DC lens inherits both its name and its outstanding quality from Leica Camera AG, maker of lenses renowned in the film camera world for their superb performance and compact size.This sophisticated lens system includes3 aspherical lenses to compensate for spherical aberration. And each features an advanced multi-coating process that is applied to lens surfaces to help prevent fogging caused by flare and ghosts caused by excessive light. Intelligent Auto Just press the iA button, aim and shoot. The camera does all the rest, automatically activating four detection and correction functions. These include MEGA O.I.S., which helps prevent blurring due to shaky hands, Intelligent ISO Control, which helps prevent motion blur when the subject won't stay still. Intelligent Scene Selector which selects the optimal scene mode for the situation & Face Detection which helps deliver clear portraits.

2.7" LCD Screen The DMC-FS7 incorporate an easy-to-see, large, 2.7-inch 230,000-dot high-resolution LCD for comfortable viewing while both monitoring shots and playing back the results. The Intelligent LCD function detects the light condition and automatically boosts the LCD backlighting by max. 40% when shooting outdoors in bright sunshine, and adjusts the frame rate when shooting in low-lit situations. Macro Zoom Using the digital zoom function, you can pull subjects even closer than the closest point possible with the wide-angle setting, and capture dramatic close-ups. Photo Frame Mode In Photo Frame mode, you can compose your shot while displaying one of the frames registered in the camera. This is a quick, easy way to produce photos with attractive borders.
