Light Box - 150x245mm Grande
Light boxes are used by photographers, advertising agencies, doctors, medical and laboratory technicians and others who work with images that require trans-illumination. SLS and Medalight Light Boxes are available in several different sizes and are designed to meet the different requirements of users. The smaller SLS and Slim Light Panel units are designed to run on standard batteries or with a suitable AC adaptor (usually available from electronics stores2). The larger ALB-20E unit is designed for extended operation in a minilab or laboratory and is powered by AC mains power.
The model Grande is similar in shape to the Petite but measures 312 x 223 x 57 mm and has a viewing area of 245 x 153 mm. Its larger size allows for not only the viewing of more 35 mm slides at one time, but also larger x-ray and other transparent material. It has a builtin tilt bracket on the bottom for adjusting the viewing angle and can also be wall mounted. It’s convenient clamp bar will hold sheet film when in either a horizontal or vertical mounted
position. The model Grande has a 8000°K light source using an F8T5/D fluorescent tube and requires six “C” size alkaline batteries. It can also be powered by a suitable 9 volt, 500 mAh AC power adaptor2.
