The top-of-the-range DMC-FZ200 features a high quality Leica lens with a constant F2.8 aperture, across the 24x optical zoom and Full-HD recording in both AVCHD and MP4 format.

 

 

The DMC-FZ200 boasts a Leica DC Vario-Elmarit 25mm ultra wide-angle lens with a 24x optical zoom (35mm camera equivalent: 25-600mm) that achieves a constant F2.8. The stunningly bright F2.8 aperture at 600mm is a world first* for digital compact cameras. With the Intelligent Zoom function, you can even increase the already powerful zoom to a 48x equivalent with minimum deterioration, while our Nano Surface Coating has been applied to minimise the light reflection that causes ghost and flare.

 

 

On a bright day when you cant see the LCD, the newly developed 0.2-inch EVF (Electronic Viewfinder) will ensure you can still compose the perfect picture. It features 1,312K-dot equivalent high resolution and 100% field of view. The increased frame rate from (30fps to max. 60 fps) means that screen freeze is also minimised, making the DMC-FZ200 suitable for shooting fast-moving subjects under strong sunlight.

 

 

The DMC-FZ200 can record 1920 x 1080 50p Full-HD video in AVCHD progressive or MP4 with high quality stereo sound and you can easily play back the movies you record on a VIERA Full-HD TV or a Panasonic Blu-ray disc player/recorder by inserting an SD Memory Card or via a mini HDMI cable. Making great films with this camera couldnt be easier, as the powerful 24x optical zoom and manual controls are also available in video recording, giving you greater creative control. Whats more, a separate button on the top of the camera lets you instantly start recording videos while capturing photos without having to make any additional changes to the settings. The DMC-FZ200 can also record high-speed videos at 100 fps in HD (1,280 x 720) or 200 fps in VGA (640 x 480) in MP4 format. You can capture scenes that can't be seen with the naked eye, and play them back in dramatic slow motion.

 

 

This performance camera combines high speed burst shooting at 12fps in full resolution with a mechanical shutter and 5.5fps with continuous AF with Light Speed AF to help you catch even the most fleeting shooting opportunities. You also benefit from an incredibly fast 0.95 second (approx.) start-time, meaning that even if your camera is switched off, it can be turned on fast enough to capture lifes precious moments.
